Larry L. Vaught Roofing Inc is now giving a 15-year GUARANTEE on its workmanship. We have always installed our roofs to meet all building codes and manufacturer’s installation instructions. In addition to meeting codes and manufacturer’s requirements, we also have a few extra details we employ to assure our roofs hold up for the long haul. This is why we are so confident in the quality of our roofing contractor workmanship warranty that we can provide a 15-year written guarantee against leakage due to workmanship on the shingled roofs we install. If there is a leak during this 15-year period, we will make the necessary repairs to stop the leakage, free of charge. It should be noted, a workmanship guarantee does not cover the roofing materials. It only covers problems caused by improper installation of the roofing materials.
Roofing Contractor Manufacturer’s Warranty
Along with our 15-year workmanship guarantee, we also provide lifetime manufacturer’s warranties on the GAF shingled roofs we install. If there is a manufacturing defect, these warranties cover the cost of the labor, material, and tear off for a full 50-years before becoming pro-rated for the homeowner’s lifetime.
The Difference between a Guarantee and a Warranty
I honestly am not certain I understand the difference between a guarantee and a warranty. They are similar. The Oxford dictionary states: a warranty is a written guarantee, issued to the purchaser of an article by its manufacturer, promising to repair or replace it if necessary within a specified period of time. It also states: a guarantee is a formal promise or assurance (typically in writing) that certain conditions will be fulfilled, especially that a product will be repaired or replaced if not of a specified quality and durability.
One thing I do know is it will not matter if you have a warranty or a guarantee if your roof leaks and the roofing contractor you chose is no longer in business or simply will not honor their guarantee/warranty. Since 1967 we have stood behind every roof we have installed. We have 3rd generation family ownership in place and guarantee we will be here to honor the 15-year guarantee we provide for your roof.
